The Beautiful Hawke's Bay Region

A wonderful Mediterranean climate on the eastern sea board of the North Island makes Hawke's Bays weather and landscape, a unique place to live and visit.  Hawke's Bay covers a large area from Mahia peninsular to Dannevirke in the south.  A huge area bordered by the ranges in the west and the Pacific ocean on the east.

Each region within the area has a large variation of landscapes and terrain, from the Urewera National Park rainforest surrounding beautiful Lake Waikaremoana in the north, to the sweeping Heretaunga plains and forest covered Ruahine and Kawkeka Ranges.  A number of wide rivers, excellent for fishing, meander on shingle beds to meet the Pacific Ocean with white sand beaches, stretching from the Mahia Peninsular in the north to Porangahau Beach in the south.
